Dashboard Overview
The BreakGround dashboard is the central hub for creating, managing, and analyzing your in-app guidance content. It provides a workspace-based interface where team members collaborate on content across your applications.
Main Navigation
The left sidebar organizes the dashboard into the following sections:
- Content -- Create and manage flows, tooltips, beacons, announcements, surveys, and task lists.
- Analytics -- View engagement metrics, completion rates, funnel analysis, and user behavior data.
- Audiences -- Define user segments based on attributes and behavior for targeted content delivery.
- Experiments -- Run A/B tests to compare content variants and measure impact.
- Settings -- Configure API keys, team members, installation, and organization preferences.
Workspaces and Companies
Each organization operates within its own company, which isolates all content, analytics, and user data. If you belong to multiple organizations, use the company switcher in the top-left corner to move between them.
All content you create is scoped to the active company. Team members, API keys, and audience definitions are company-specific.
Role-Based Access
BreakGround uses four roles to control what team members can do within a company:
| Role | Permissions |
|---|---|
| OWNER | Full access. Manage billing, delete the company, and assign roles. |
| ADMIN | Manage team members, API keys, and all content. Cannot delete the company. |
| EDITOR | Create, edit, and publish content. Cannot manage team settings. |
| VIEWER | Read-only access to content and analytics. Cannot create or modify anything. |
Roles are assigned per company. A user can be an ADMIN in one company and a VIEWER in another.
Quick Actions
The dashboard provides several shortcuts to streamline your workflow:
- Global Create -- Use the Create New button in the top bar to start building any content type.
- Search -- Press the search icon or use the keyboard shortcut to find content, settings, or team members.
- Preview -- Preview any content directly from the dashboard without publishing it to production.
